Profile

Hello! This is Yuu, the administrator of BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】.

While working a full-time job, my husband and I often travel together, documenting our journeys on BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】.

How and Why I Started This Blog

The Reason I Started Blogging

I launched this blog back in 2018.

Initially, it wasn’t even called “BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】.” In fact, it started as a Disney-focused guide site.

At that time, I was a huge fan of Tokyo Disney Resort, visiting three to four times a week with my annual passport.

I wrote reports on seasonal events, analyzed limited-time shows, and shared tips for securing good spots. Looking back, these were some truly cherished memories (haha).

As time passed and due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, my visits to Tokyo Disney Resort decreased. Instead, my then-boyfriend, now-husband Puraha, and I began traveling domestically more frequently.

Before I knew it, I started writing about those trips on the blog.

No matter how amazing the spots we visited, how moving the accommodations, or how delicious the food was, those memories would fade unless recorded.

I chose blogging as the medium to preserve those memories.

Eventually, travel logs took up most of the blog content, leading me to rename the site as “BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】.”

Later, I migrated the movie category to a separate blog, resulting in its current form.

Themes: "Domestic Travel," "Gourmet," and "Spots"

“BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】” is mainly a blog specializing indomestic travel,” “gourmet,” and “spots.”

I’ve never been particularly interested in overseas travel, so most destinations are domestic (though there are a few exceptions featuring overseas content).

While the blog primarily details travels undertaken by me, Yuu, and my husband Puraha, we occasionally travel with my family and their dog from my parents’ home.

This has gradually led to an increase in articles about pet-friendly trips.

As mentioned in my X (formerly Twitter) profile, I enjoy “alcohol (sake, beer, wine, shochu),” “hot springs,” and “theme parks.” Consequently, many articles are about destinations or spots related to these interests.

Additionally, I have hobbies like “photography,” “reading,” and “movies,” but I document these in a separate blog or on note, keeping BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】focused solely on travel.

About Yuu and Puraha’s Journey So Far

I, Yuu, was born and raised in Tokyo—a true Tokyoite.

…Or so I’d like to say, but in reality, I grew up in the western outskirts of Tokyo, not the central 23 wards.

As a student, it was a bit of a hassle to go to the city center, which was always on my mind.

For instance, Maihama Station, home to Tokyo Disney Resort, was quite far away. Yet, I can’t believe how frequently I managed to visit (haha).

I met Puraha during high school.

To be exact, we attended the same middle and high school, but we got to know each other in our second year of high school.

We’ve been together ever since, eventually getting married in 2022.

While I’m the outdoorsy type who loves to explore, Puraha is more of a homebody. But we both share a passion for gourmet food and alcohol.

No matter what other joys travel brings, good food and drinks are non-negotiable for us!

▲This photo is from a hotel dinner in Toyama. We have many photos of us toasting in various locations.

We’ve long been seasoned non-drivers, relying almost entirely on public transportation for our travels.

For example, during our honeymoon, we spent 11 days in Okinawa without a car, which we consider a pro-level no-car travel experience (haha).

Recently, Puraha took up golf, which led to him finally graduating from being a non-driver.

Starting in 2024, we’ve begun incorporating car travel, making it possible to visit places like the Gokayama World Heritage Sites in Toyama. This trip made us appreciate the convenience of having a car (haha).

We currently live in the same area where I grew up.

Although there’s a fair distance to cover when taking the Shinkansen or a plane, it’s a familiar and comfortable place, allowing us to enjoy life to the fullest.

Started Using Note to Record Daily Life and Topics Difficult to Share on the Blog

Several years have passed since starting the blog and adjusting its direction.

On BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】, I primarily write about domestic travel, gourmet food, and tourist spots. For daily, smaller updates, I occasionally post on X (formerly Twitter), though I tend to be a bit inactive.

Recently, I started feeling the urge to write about non-travel-related topics or the more candid, less blog-friendly aspects of travel.

I considered creating a separate specialized blog, like the other blog I migrated to, but I realized the Note platform might better suit my goals:

"To write personal things without broadcasting them widely across the internet."

"To share posts with people who have shown interest through my blog."

Convinced it met these requirements, I decided to open a Note account.

On Note, I plan to share content outside the themes of BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】: glimpses of daily life and more candid travel insights.

For example, my new interest in golf, the latest appliances we've brought into our home, detailed travel expenses, or booking tips—things not as suited for the blog.

If this piques your interest, I’d be delighted if you follow my Note account!

Future Aspirations

Rather than “future aspirations,” it might be better described as a dream, but my ambition is to visit all 47 prefectures in Japan together and document every trip on BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】.

If we count just me or just my partner, we're surprisingly close to visiting all 47 prefectures individually. However, I want to make this a goal we achieve together.

That said, we're not looking to rush and cram everything in.

We’ll visit different places at a comfortable pace as opportunities arise in our shared life, and hopefully, one day, we’ll fill in all 47 prefectures on our map.

Popular and Recommended Articles on BeeTrip【びーとりっぷ】

Travelogues and Travel Plans

For every trip we take, I write travelogues and travel plan articles summarizing the entire itinerary.

Even when you have a destination or restaurant in mind, they’re often hard to access or difficult to incorporate into a travel plan.

In such cases, I used to read through travelogues from others who had visited the area.

Travel stories provide firsthand, practical information for exploring those locations.

Inspired by this, I aim to share similar content—practical and personal—with a focus on documenting the overall flow of our trips for my own reference as well.

Hotel Reviews

While hotel information is available on official websites or OTA platforms (e.g., Jalan, Rakuten Travel), certain details can only be uncovered through actual experience.

For instance:
- Does the tea set include coffee?
- What is the loungewear like—should you bring your own?
- Is the hairdryer a model you can comfortably use?

These “things you wouldn’t know without staying” are the focus of my hotel reviews.

By the way…

Personal “hotel must-haves” ranking:

  1. Glasses available for drinking in the room (essential for enjoying a drink!)
  2. Skincare products provided (a lifesaver if forgotten!)
  3. Short elevator wait times (waiting for extended periods just to leave is frustrating).

Theme Parks and Tourist Spots

I write about my experiences at theme parks and tourist spots.

As a long-time Disney fan, I still enjoy visiting theme parks frequently.

I share tips and insights like “efficient ways to navigate the park” or “unique ways to enjoy the experience.” If you're planning to visit a particular spot, my posts might offer useful advice.

Food and Drinks

I write about delicious food and drinks we discover on our travels.

Since both my partner and I enjoy drinking, many posts feature a combination of food and alcohol.

We tend to gravitate toward spots that cater to this—haha.

About My Other Blog

In 2021, I moved my film-related content to a separate blog, BeePlus【びーぷらす】, which I’ve been managing casually since then.

It features many Disney movie-related posts, so if that interests you, please take a look!
